In the sixth and final offering of the bimonthly learning sessions for 2020, Honoring Choices Virginia is proud to host John Sentz, DO, and Debbie Griffith, RN, BSN, CCRN from Henrico Doctors’ Hospital to help us help those in ACP conversations and in our community better separate myth from reality concerning CPR and its outcomes.

Dr. John Sentz has been with Pulmonary Associates of Richmond since 2016. He practices at Henrico Doctors’ Hospital and PAR’s West Broad office. Dr. Sentz has clinical interests in general pulmonary and critical care medicine along with public health. He has a Master of Public Health from George Washington University and received his medical training at Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Sentz completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Virginia Commonwealth University and his Fellowship in Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine, also at VCU. He has board certifications in Critical Care Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Pulmonary Disease. He is affiliated with the American College of Chest Physicians and the American Thoracic Society.
Debbie Griffith, RN, BSN, CCRN serves as the Critical Care Special Projects Coordinator at Henrico Doctors’ Hospital. She graduated from East Orange General Hospital School of Nursing in New Jersey in 1980 and began working in critical care and has since earned certification as a Critical Care RN . Debbie obtained her BSN from Grand Canyon University in 2019. Debbie is a certified facilitator and instructor in the Respecting Choices® First Steps® and Advanced Steps® advance care planning curricula and an organizational faculty member in First Steps® ACP. She currently serves as the primary liaison to Honoring Choices Virginia for HCAVa Henrico Doctors’ Hospital.
